What does the Shiny Hunter Bot do?

The bot repeats the shiny hunting loop on your chosen route: it starts an encounter, checks the screen for the shiny sparkle animation using image recognition and flees from every normal Pokémon to reset as fast as possible. When a shiny appears, it switches to capture mode, weakens it and throws balls until it is caught. When your PP runs low, it walks to the nearest Pokémon Center, heals and returns to the route.

Automation tools carry an inherent risk in any online game, and you use the bot at your own responsibility. We recommend moderate sessions and following the community guidelines in our Discord.

We recommend Breloom with False Swipe and Spore: it leaves the shiny at 1 HP and puts it to sleep, which maximises the catch rate. For water routes, bring a Pokémon with Surf. Detailed setup instructions come with every licence.

It flees immediately to maximise encounters per hour. Only when the shiny sparkle animation is detected does it switch to capture mode.
