How the Shiny Hunter Bot works

The bot continuously runs the shiny hunting loop on your configured route — encountering Pokémon, checking for the shiny sparkle animation using image recognition, and automatically fleeing from non-shiny encounters to reset as fast as possible. When a shiny is detected, it switches to capture mode: weakening the Pokémon and throwing balls until caught. When PP runs out, it navigates to the nearest Pokémon Center to heal and returns to the route automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

As with all PikuBot products, automation carries an inherent risk in any online game. We recommend using the bot in moderation and following community best practices. Join our Discord for guidelines on safe usage.

We recommend Breloom with False Swipe and Spore — it reduces the shiny to 1 HP and puts it to sleep, maximising catch rate. For water routes, bring a Pokémon with Surf. Detailed setup instructions are included with every licence.

The bot flees from non-shiny encounters immediately — resetting as fast as possible to maximise the number of encounters per hour. Only when the shiny sparkle animation is detected does it switch to capture mode.

The bot automatically navigates to the nearest Pokémon Center to heal PP, then returns to the route and resumes hunting — no manual input needed. The Leppa Berry configurable route (coming soon) will allow fully indefinite sessions without needing to visit the Center.
